Printing
You can print documents at the library from a library computer, your home computer, or your wireless device. To print from a library computer at either the Winnetka or Northfield libraries, visit the reference desk on the first floor.
To print from your home computer or wireless device, follow the link below for remote printing. To pick up your document, go to a printer in the library within 2 hours. If not printed within 2 hours, you will need to send your job again.
Printers accept credit cards or cash.
- Black and white prints (8.5 x 11 in): $0.10/page
- Color prints (8.5 x 11 in): $0.25/page
Copying
The Winnetka Library has three copy machines, and the Northfield Library has one copy machine available for public use. On the first floor of both locations, copiers are located near the reference desk and accept credit cards or cash.
- Black & white copies: Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and Legal (8.5 x 14 in): $0.10/page
- Color copies: Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and Legal (8.5 x 14 in): $0.25/page
Each copier has a flatbed scanner, a document feeder scanner, and the ability to print from (and save to) USB storage devices.
Scanning & Faxing
Copiers at both locations have scanning capabilities. In addition, the Winnetka Library has both a flatbed and document scanner. Patrons can scan photos, books and documents with dimensions up to 11.7 inches by 16.5 inches (A3 size). The document scanner can scan double-sided paper quickly.
Supported scan file formats include PDF, searchable PDF, Word, TIFF, and JPEG.
Scanned content can be faxed, from the Winnetka Library only, saved to a USB drive or emailed. There is no charge to scan or fax at the library.
