It's been said that movies, like literature, keep rehashing Seven Basic Plots. In other words, we've seen all of these stories many times before and now we're just encountering their endless variations. Is this really true? What are these fundamental storytelling templates? Zbigniew Banas will examine each one of them and provide sample movie references. We'll also look at creative exceptions to well-established storylines.
