The library will close early at 5pm on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Gobble up some good reads before the holiday—we’ll reopen on Saturday, Nov. 30!

Event Details

Talk about poems that sparked your interest, find a new poet or poem, and bring a favorite to share. Check out a book at the library or find a poem online. Discussion will be facilitated by Emily Darby, poetry book club leader, and Arlyn Miller, poetry teacher.

Emily Darby has been a reader of poems for about 40 years.  She has participated in workshops with many wonderful poets, including Ellen Bass and Rick Barot.  She belongs to two writing groups and even has a tiny poetry book club of her own.   Arlyn Miller is a life-long poetry enthusiast. She teaches poetry-based creative writing workshops through Poetic License, Inc which she founded and is the Senior Editor of Poetic License Press. She is a proud member of Emily's tiny poetry book club.
