The modern day Summer Olympics are a continuation of a centuries old tradition that dates back to ancient Greece. Founder of the International Olympics Committee, Pierre de Coubertin, kickstarted the first International Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. de Coubertin, portrayed by actor Terry Lynch, will explore how modern history has shaped international games.
