Program Description

Event Details

The contemporary boom of street art in Mexico and in the Mexican-American neighborhoods in American cities, can be traced to the Mexican muralist movement of the 1920s. Although there were many artists who were a part of the movement, The Big Three (Siqueiros, Orozco, and most famously Rivera) are generally considered to have led and shaped it. Today, they have notably influenced the public art in Chicago's Mexican communities.
