Since opening its doors in 1884, the Winnetka Public Library has been a cornerstone for community knowledge and enjoyment. In 1974 we took a bold step forward by becoming a standalone library district, uniting with Northfield to create a stronger, more vibrant library community. This crucial move allowed us to expand our services and resources, bringing our two communities together under one shared mission of lifelong learning and discovery.
