Program Description

Event Details

In Brave the Wild River, science journalist Melissa L. Sevigny tells the true story of two botanists, Elzada Clover and Lois Jotter, who boated the Grand Canyon in 1938 and made the first plant collection there. It was an era when women weren't welcomed, either as scientists or river runners, but Clover and Jotter were determined to make the dangerous journey. Join us for a riveting tale of adventure, daring, science, and survival.
