Art historian Jeff Mishur looks at Picasso's career-long pursuit of artistic innovation. From his arrival in Paris as a young artist, he assimilated the styles of artists and periods that intrigued him in pursuit of establishing his own personal style. Picasso's stylistic diversity will be shown through a series of masterworks spanning several decades of the twentieth century. This lecture relates to an exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago.
