Program Description

Event Details

Jo Ann Tufo, historian and experienced virtual presenter brings to life the diverse traditions from worldwide cultures that come together in America.
This program explores how Christmas is celebrated in the United States and the relationship to various cultural practices that have been integrated into family and public events. The earliest roots of our traditions such as Santa Claus, Candy Canes, Christmas trees (and so much more) is discussed and traced back to many countries. This melting pot of practices creates a unique approach to our multi cultural approach to the holiday season.
